The 2024 National Tournament took place at The Michigan Trap Association in Mason July 10 -14th. 280 teams and 2800 individuals registered. Richmond had 2 teams and 17 individuals registered. Of the 280 teams only 80 can qualify for the finals. Both Richmond teams qualified! The 2 teams finished 41st and 65th. The individual finals allows 400 of the 2800 to qualify for finals. Richmond had 8 of the 17 qualify for the finals. Two on the team finished just outside the top 10. Frank Collins had a 198 out of 200, best in team history, and Evan Plonka finished with a 195. Also, we had one 7th grader shooting individuals, Brady Scott, just missed qualifying for the finals. It was a great time. The MTA flooded Tuesday night so people had to be shuttled from the front gate to their fields, Madilynn Gnesda to the rescue! The most popular person that weekend!!
