RMS students are celebrating kindness month! On Friday, the students in Peer to Peer made "kindness flowers" where they went around and wrote nice things about one another. Everyone left with a flower full of wonderful compliments.
Fourth grade STEAM students spent today designing a spacecraft that can land safely on mars! Given only certain materials, the students are challenged to build the spacecraft with shock absorbers as to make a safe landing for the astronauts. Tomorrow they will begin building their designs!

6th grade Scientists worked on building physical models of proteins using different instructions to learn about genes and alleles in an organism in their unit on Genetics.

Our third Duck Days is approaching for the middle school and Lee Elementary on February 15th. Duck Days is part of our K-8 Accelerated Reader Program. When students reach their reading goals within the Duck Days time period, they get to choose a Duck. Take a minute and vote on your favorite Duck Days bulletin board #1, #2 or # 3 and students keep up the great job reading.
The RMS Student Council met today and worked on spreading Kindness around the middle school. Tomorrow signs, posters and banners will be hung sharing words of Kindness ♥️🧡💛💚💜

Today students in theater 7/8 class were developing characters based on an article of clothing they were given.
Mrs. Schodowski’s ELA classes sharing their creative quick writes by doing the snowball sharing technique. They crumbled their paper, threw them, read others work, and even added to their stories. Today’s pieces shared a grouchy personal description of a piece of broccoli who is causing trouble!
