 "To any parent considering the Will L Lee preschool program.. I can’t speak highly enough about it. I have had 2 kids go through the 3 year old tuition and the GSRP programs in back to back years. My daughter is now in Kindergarten and is reading, writing, and is just all around knowledgeable about so many things! My son is still in GSRP and has really come out of his shell this year. The academic learning speaks for itself, but the social side has been invaluable to my family. My son had never left my side (2020 baby!) and was nervous about school. He comes home now talking about his friends, and refers to his teachers as if they’re family. Additionally, the amount of interaction parents have with the teachers is comforting. Frequent class parties and volunteer opportunities, weekly newsletters and updates, and almost daily pictures make my mom heart happy! We love all the support from all the teachers and administrators. Thrilling threes was a great stepping stone for my children. For my kids this was the first experience of school of any kind (daycare or being away from home) and having the three day program was extremely helpful for them to learn routine and a love for school. The GSRP program was also top notch! I loved the bus transportation, and the breakfast and lunch provided. All of my kids had Ms. Cook, and she is an excellent teacher. She always put her heart into everything she was teaching, and it shows in the things my kids learned and the activities they brought home. Having a field trip and all the classroom parties and activities were a bonus as well. And all the hard work pays off when you get to see your preschooler perform at their graduation. “Richmond is the best preschool program out there! The staff are not only amazing, but they treat every student like family. It is truly a welcoming and comforting community. My son went into gsrp a small 4 year old who didn’t know his abc’s and came out singing them and so proud he could now write his name and knew his letters. The amount of growth and readiness he had for kindergarten was remarkable! My daughter is currently enrolled, and her first thing she said running out was , “You’re right mom! Mrs. Ottenbachers class is the best!” On top of the normal curriculum they do, they also do a ton of fun stuff! We get to go on field trips, have seasonal preschool after school dances/book readings, field day, donuts with parents, and holiday class parties! My kids have both made forever friends in the preschool programs in Richmond.  "GSRP was my daughter’s first preschool experience. My older kids had done 2-3hrs, 2 or 3 days/wk so 4 full days felt like a big step, but I’m so thankful we decided to try it! 

The curriculum and preparation for kindergarten far exceeded my expectation. Included Meals, snacks, and rest/nap time made it easier to get kiddos off for the day. But the greatest aspects were the student to teacher ratio, activities that kept my daughter engaged, pics and communication throughout the day to reassure me, my girl was having fun. But, most importantly the kind, caring staff my daughter absolutely adored!
