About Us
Greetings to all Richmond Community Schools parents. My name is Paul Knight, and I am the Dean of Students at Richmond Middle School. My educational background consists of a Bachelor of Education degree at Central Michigan University and a Masters in Educational Leadership from Saginaw Valley State University. My teaching certifications are K-12 Physical Education and 6-12 Health Education. This is my 17th year in education. My first seven years of teaching were spent at Warren Michigan Collegiate as the middle school PE/Health teacher. Over the next five years, I was the Assistant Principal at Warren Michigan Collegiate, followed by my most recent four years as Principal in the same building.
My passion has always been building relationships with students to make productive human beings in today’s society. I am a big believer in empowering students to be self-advocates and be in control of their own destiny. This starts with creating good habits and routines in middle school to fuel that success in high school and later in life. I am looking forward to working hand in hand with our RMS families and community to make the middle school experience joyful and impactful.
