Richmond Community Schools has partnered with PRACTICE On-Demand Tutoring to provide FREE TUTORING for all K-12 students. PRACTICE On-Demand Tutoring gives Richmond family access to a 1:1 virtual tutor each weeknight between 4-8 PM.

Richmond Community Schools is proud to announce Ms. Amanda Turpin as our 2024 Macomb Reads Literacy Ambassador! She will get the opportunity to represent our district and collaborate with other representatives to improve literacy instruction across the entire county. Today we say goodbye to our Kangaroo Bus Driver. Mr. Tim has been an amazing part of our team. Not only a bus driver, a trainer and building monitor at the H.S. Tim has made many contributions to our department, stepping up to cover trips when needed. He will be truly missed by everyone. We wish you the best of luck.

SCHOOL BUS DRIVER APPRECIATION DAY!
The Richmond Education Foundation is accepting scholarship applications from graduating student who desires to further their education at a postsecondary school (e.g., college, university, trade school, etc.) of their choice. Applications are due by 4:00pm on Tuesday, April 30, 2024.
The Richmond Education Foundation is accepting application for summer camp scholarships for students who attend Richmond Community Schools. Applications are due by 4:00pm on Monday, April 1, 2024. Families will be notified of the scholarship award by April 30, 2024.
"Macomb Reads Author Engagement Series" for elementary students and families. This FREE, family event will include meeting award-winning author, Angela Joy, free books and tote bag, breakfast, and much more.

Our Instructional Coaches Ms. Schlehuber and Ms. Clausen hosted their first Cocoa and Cookies with the Coaches event. Teachers had the opportunity to meet with our coaches to discuss instruction, strategies, and best practices.

February Challenge: Richmond High School Students and Staff Hydration Challenge
RHS Hydration Challenge - It takes 21 days to form a habit! Participating students and staff - Track your water intake on the Water Tracker form (located in the Office Form's box) from February 1st – February 22nd. Please turn into the office by the end of day February 23rd. The top 5 hydrated students and top 5 hydrated staff members will each win a Tropical Smoothie Gift Card. In the event of a tie, the tiebreaker will happen in the form of a drawing. Winners will be announced February 26th.
No "Plan B" needed! Get a good night's sleep because we're looking forward to welcoming students and staff back to school on Thursday. While most back road conditions have improved, give yourself a little extra time on the way in tomorrow. Be careful out there!
Road conditions and temperature forecast have not improved, Richmond Community Schools will be closed on Wednesday, January 24, 2024. Exams scheduled for Wednesday will be moved to Thursday.
As of now, Richmond Community Schools will be OPEN on Wednesday, January 24th. However, the rain and temperatures and their impact on back roads are being monitored. If the weather forecast or road conditions change, you will be notified as soon as possible. Please have a "Plan B" if schools are closed.
