September 2019 Newsletter:

Welcome back to Richmond High School for the 2019/20 school year.  The new school year has started and both students and staff at Richmond High School have hit the ground running.  With a plethora of both academic and athletic extracurricular activities beginning in September, the Blue Devils have been well represented in the community.  The school year began with multiple groups being represented in the Richmond Good Old Days celebration and parade.  The 2019 Spring test scores were released earlier this month and I am proud to announce the RHS class of 2020 has exceeded county, state, and national averages on the S.A.T.  It is also my pleasure to announce that Richmond High School has a student who is a National Merit Scholarship Semi-Finalist for the 2019/20 school year.

Homecoming week was full of fun and excitement, with spirit days bringing out the competitive sides of our different classes.  The Homecoming parade, a victory on the field, and a great time by all at the dance were a great way to cap off an exciting week.  September also saw several activities at the building level aimed at providing information about the upcoming bond proposal.  On November 5th, voters will be voting on a 38.7-million-dollar proposal that will address 4 major categories.

  1. Facility updates
  2. Student safety enhancements
  3. Improving the learning environment
  4. Improving athletic facilities.

For further information on the bond proposal, please visit the Richmond High School Website

We look forward to a great year at Richmond High School and can’t wait to share all of the great things that we are doing.
