I started teaching in 1996.
I chose to enter the field of education after having three children and volunteering in a number of classrooms at the Will L. Lee school.
I admired the teachers that my children had and wanted to become one of them.
Outside of the Classroom:
In addition to my teaching duties I am the REA union president. I also participated in the teacher leader program through the MISD and was Teacher of the Year for the Lee School in 2018.
I also enjoy time with my three children who are all Richmond graduates. I am proud to say I have 11 grandchildren with another one due in May, the oldest grandchild is a second grader this year. I am proud to be a Richmond Blue Devil and take pride in our schools and all they have to offer.
